ABOUT YOUR NEXT FAVORITE DOG TRAINER
Dara Wittenberg, founder of Rescue Me Dog Training, got into the dog training field so she could help homeless dogs. She realized she could use her talents to train dogs in the shelter system so they would have a better chance of adoption. She's been successful at that by working with a local shelter's playgroups and their behavior team to train the dogs, as well as helping the team to test each dog's "canineality" (how well they get along with other dogs). She was awarded "Behavior Team Volunteer" of the Year, 2016, at Peggy Adams Animal Rescue, in West Palm Beach, Fl.
She also works closely with another nearby animal rescue ensuring their adoptable dogs are ready for placement and continually works with the new dog parents after the adoption is finalized.
In addition to becoming a certified dog trainer, Dara has been a multisport coach for several years, working with both new and seasoned athletes who have big athletic goals. Dara has a knack for knowing what her clients need (both human and canine) and makes sure their goals are met with long-term success.
Dara is an a CPDT-KA Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Animal Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer who helps clients with basic obedience skills, house-training and quirky behavior challenges, counter conditioning and desensitization for fearful dogs, and everything in between. She is eager to restore peace in your home and help you to have some fun while doing it!
